Treatment Approach

Psychoanalytic psychotherapy facilitates emotional healing and growth by fostering self-understanding. The cornerstone of this therapeutic approach is the relationship between the patient and therapist. In this supportive environment, individuals can confront aspects of themselves that were previously unmanageable alone. Change may manifest as new feelings towards oneself or others, the adoption of new behaviors, the diminishment of undesirable behaviors, or the acceptance of unchangeable circumstances.

Psychoanalysis is a more intensive form of psychotherapy that often involves meeting 3-5 times per week. This increased frequency allows for a level of therapeutic impact that is challenging to attain in less frequent psychotherapy sessions.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic technique designed to treat trauma. In my practice, I integrate EMDR with psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. Additionally, I offer EMDR services to patients who are undergoing treatment with other psychoanalytic psychotherapists and psychoanalysts.
